Prof. Saif S. Al Sobhi
Prof. Saif S. Al Sobhi is a distinguished and internationally recognized surgeon with over three decades of experience in breast and endocrine surgery. Born on April 7, 1962, in Ǫurayyat, Saudi Arabia, he has made significant contributions to advancing medical science, particularly in complex thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgeries. Prof. Al Sobhi holds a medical degree from King Faisal University and completed specialized fellowships at renowned institutions such as the University of California, San Francisco, and the University of Michigan. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow) and holds a Master of Medical Management from the University of Southern California.
Throughout his career, he has significantly shaped surgical education and medical practice in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Prof. Al Sobhi has also been a key figure in international humanitarian efforts. He has participated in and technically led numerous surgical missions organized by Physicians Across Continents (PAC), providing essential surgical operations in countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. His work has taken him to countries such as Nigeria, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Bosnia, Albania, and Sudan, where he has helped provide high- quality healthcare to underserved populations in crisis.

He has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, particularly in the fields of thyroid cancer, parathyroid hyperplasia, and adrenal surgery. His expertise and groundbreaking research have earned him recognition at major global surgical conferences, including awards at the International Endocrine Congress and the World Congress of Surgery.
