EDUCADTION & TRAINING
EDUCATION & TRAINING
We believe that education is the key to solving the healthcare challenges in developing countries. That’s why, in addition to performing surgeries, we focus on educating and training local healthcare workers. Our goal is to ensure that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform the same procedures as our senior doctors, enabling them to provide high-quality care to their own communities long into the future.
Why Education?
At Physicians Across Continents (PAC), we believe that surgical interventions alone are not a permanent solution for countries struggling with poor healthcare systems. For sustainable, long-term impact, education and training are essential. By advancing the knowledge and skills of local healthcare workers, we empower communities to address their own health challenges.
We integrate education into both our development and emergency programs, providing direct skill transfer through in-service training and fellowship sponsorships. This ensures that local doctors can specialize and eventually take on the responsibility of providing high-quality healthcare within their communities, long after we have left.
