SYRIA CRISIS APPEAL

Syria has been in a civil war since 2011, As well as causing hundreds of thousands of deaths, the war has left 1.5 million people with permanent disabilities, including 86,000 who have lost limbs. At least 6.5 million Syrians are internally displaced, while another 5.7 million have fled abroad.

Neighbouring Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey, which are hosting 93% of them, have struggled to cope with one of the largest refugee exoduses in recent history. some 13 million people were estimated to be in need of humanitarian assistance, including 5.2 million in acute need.
